  55.    Joe, I just went through this nightmare myself! The answer is that the 
  56. software that comes with your SCSI controller should be able to add the 
  57. ZIP drive to your SCSI chain. My controller, the Oktagon 2008, instead of 
  58. using a mountlist, uses the block method where your drives' info is 
  59. stored in the controller itself. That method probably makes the process 
  60. much easier. If your controller works only with a mountlist, then I guess 
  61. you will need to write one.

  63.    Regarding the PC, the Zip is advertised as for either the Mac or PC, 
  64. but they mean that literally! The drive comes with a tools disk for 
  65. installation. If you install it on a Mac first, the installation process 
  66. automatically erases the PC installation software! Then you have to buy 
  67. another Tools disk at $40.00 (racket!) just to install it on the other 
  68. platform. The installation process using the tools disk on the PC is 
  69. painless & very easy.

  71.    Your 3rd option is to use the ZIP on your Amiga under PC emulation 
  72. with CrossDos version 6, which is also very easy to set up! This is my 
  73. poor man's solution to networking between the PC & Amiga.
